In the merging of the direct experience of combat (small picture) and the big picture—in this unit conveyed as a feeling of superiority through an excess of weapons—on the level of shot composition, sound design and camera an image of euphoric enthusiasm and triumphant collectivization is realized.

The change from report to giving orders is accomplished through distinct shot composition, first dark shadows, then brightly lit images and finally the stress of the graphic quality of the jungle leaves; providing an image for the abstract concept of a chain of command. This is accompanied by suspenseful music and the sound of shots in the background. The image of euphoria and triumphant collectivization is finally realized in the springing of a trap in the form of very frequent cuts and ever new disintegrating shot compositions as the hospital is destroyed and the Japanese squads wiped out by the air strikes and by the drone of American artillery fire. This is accompanied by an increasingly louder soundscape of bursting buildings and exploding ammunition. The staging of the desire to fight through close-ups of the enemy is transferred to the image of a euphoric superiority of arms by which the tactical stratagem is turned into an affective image.
